Tango Lessons, A Novel in Motion

(Alternative Title: Tango Pause -- which one do you like better, dear Saloners?)

Fay:
The End of the World. I always have been a little in love with the idea of Patagonia, the End of the World: the way bottom of Argentina. I had read that Peninsula Valdez was a perfect retreat for the northern Welsh and anything that is good for the Celts is good enough for me. I imagined Patagonia lined with silver glaciers and packed with ebony whales and sea lions -- bounteous scenery and fauna, but light on people. Perfect. So when I was invited to read a paper at a conference in Buenos Aires, I thought, "Fine, I'll fly to the center of Argentina and somehow make my way down to Patagonia. Hopefully Paul will join me or hopefully he won't."

It would take me half a year to reach the End of the World.

Stay tuned for snippets from Steps 1 through 8.
